Breaking Chains

I've been struggling with chains that have been holding me back. There are many things in my life that I don’t even consider chains, but they are there and they are powerful.  In fact these chains hold me back from achieving my potential.

There are many things in this life that are beyond my control but there are even more that I need to choose to take control over.  Most often I need to accept responsibility for what is holding me back--self-imposed chains.

Let’s say you want to make a life change but your chains are stopping you.  These chains could be fear of what lies ahead, timing, telling yourself you aren’t ready yet, leaving your comfort zone, economic challenges and the list goes on.  You are the only one who has any control over breaking these chains or allowing them to control you.  The first step is to recognize what is holding you back and why.  Once you have done that, then you are ready to break your chains.  It’s all up to you to make the changes happen by taking control of your life and not allowing these mind chains to hold you back.

Chains that interfere with reaching my true potential and living life to the fullest can be broken but it begins with me.

In my daily life there are many things that get in my way. Things that block my path chain me down and stop me from reaching my goals. There is no way I can prevent obstacles from appearing in my life so it's up to me to deal with them. It really all comes down to effort and how badly I want to overcome these obstacles.  Life is full of challenges that I don't have control over.  It’s not so much what happens to me but what I will do about it.  I need to look at not only what I want but also why I want it. Adopt a positive attitude and break the chains.  Not to be ready to settle for a mediocre existence when there is so much more out there that I haven’t even experienced yet.
