So, I'm sure my mom is laughing right now as my title refers to shopping as an 'ugh' experience. I'm not a shopper, and she has plenty of stories to attest to that! If I'm ever in the mood to shop, the procedure is to drop what you are doing and dart out of the house to get what is needed, locate it quickly, and get back home.
Madison and I ventured to Kohl's over the weekend in hopes to take advantage of a buy one get one free sale. I really wasn't in the mood, but knew that I was going to be soon in need of maternity clothes, and well, as Dave (Dave Ramsey, we are taking his financial class) would recommend, I took my happy 'let's save some money' rear to the store!
As if today's fashion in showing every curve you may (or may not) have isn't bad enough, try shopping for maternity clothes. I had Jonathan 5 years ago, and the clothes then where a flowy, comfort style where they cut the mid line right under the boobs and flowed with much needed room. NOT TODAY! I was finding nothing but stretching, clingy shirts. So I left! Empty-handed!
Then the guilt set in.....I should've gotten something. Right now I have nothing and anything is going to be of use. So I shyly called Kenny after work yesterday...'what are your thoughts and feelings on my driving back to Kohl's?' I was waiting for the waste of gas on another trip and I should've thought about all this when I went the first time talk. Luckily for me, my husband knows how I am about shopping and excitedly and supportively told me to get on my way. So, Madison and I were on our way...again.....
The trip last night was a good one. Finding more than I did on the first trip. I got smart and headed over to the plus size section finding some tops that I could wear to work (and tastely kept my body mold private), and some jeans which I can wear now (with not yet having the big pregnant belly, but having enough of a baby bump to not fit comfortably into my 'normal' jeans). I left, with a good size bag, all while staying within my budget. *Cheers from Dave* Even Madison was getting into it, narrating in the dressing room how good or bad everything looked on me. And managing the 'no' and 'yes' hooks for the clothes to correctly hang in their proper place. LOL
Oh, the 'ugh' shopping that goes with being pregnant!
congrats!
