Turning Unanswered Prayers Into Joy

How do we redirect our prayers? What does it take to change the unanswered prayers into the power prayers of faith?

The answer is as simple as submitting to the Lord. Recognize that foolish money management is a result of disobedience to simple bible truths. Acknowledge that over eating is a sin against your own body. Admit that adultery is not a permissible response to marriage trouble. Address the envy within your own heart. Stop defying the simple truths of Christian behavior as though God is anxious to answer the prayers of those who ignore his word. The Holy Spirit, writing through James, says it this way:

James 4:4-10 (The Message)
4-6  Your're cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every change you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. And do you suppose God doesn't care? The proverb has it that "he's a fiercely jealous lover." And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you'll find. It's common knowledge that "God goes against willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble."
7-10  So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he'll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it's the only way you'll get on your feet.

It is not just the spirit that must be turned. We must learn to control this flesh, turning away from the deeper sins of pride, self-righteousness, hate, stealing, and taking God's name in vain, but also turning away from those things that simply indulge a stubborn flesh.

Not all hardships are a result of foolish living. Trials sometimes come. Suffering is a part of life. As children of God, we must endure and preserver. For purposes that exceed our understanding, God sometimes lets our prayers go unanswered. Yet for prayers answered or for prayers unanswered, we give God the glory for every breath we take.

"Let go of the old mentality and grab hold of what God has given you by his spoken word. You are princes and princesses of the King of kings; forget your hurtful past, and forgive your enemies. God loves you! This is God's plan coming to pass: to move his children from being victims to being Victors in their lives because of God's love. God's plan is to bring their prayers to life with his faithful word. God is going to move and reach out his hand to them first by showing them his love and compassion. Grab hold of God's Secrets to Unanswered Prayers!"
