It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood

I got knocked off my feet the other day with a thought that came out of no where. Well two thoughts actually....1. The kids are almost out of school. We are counting in single digits; no not just single digits, we are actually in the month that school will end for the summer. 2. I have been a stay at home mom for almost a year. OMG! I have never been one who was against working. However, this last year has been bittersweet. I've learned a lot about my kids. And I can't fathom the thought of leaving home and not spending my days with Rebekah. The joys of being a mother =)

Soccer has started for Joanthan and he has had about 3 games. He is doing well this season, but he really can't wait for football to start. His highlight this soccer season is playing defender (aka. goalie).

Madison's softball season is about to start as well. We are in week 2 of practice and she has had 1 practice. There has been quite the soap opera with getting coaches for the girls.

We welcome a lamb to the farm in 2 weeks. Time to get in gear and get things ready. Putting together the pen and getting it bedded and ready. I hope Madison is ready for it. We were cleaning out the flower beds this afternoon and I had the kids help me. Madison said she didn't like work. I asked her how she was going to make it with her lamb then if she didn't like work...her response, I won't mind that kind of work. Now that is a response to quote later. I'm still stressing over her only have 2 and a half months to train this lamb. Something I did in 6 months!! We'll make it though. It's going to be a good experience for her and I can't wait to share it with her.

Rebekah is crawling everywhere and pulling up. She is even letting go and standing for a few moments at a time. I'm getting ready to start her on table food and she is already starting to take a sippy cup. It's crazy how fast they grow up.

Well, we are enjoying this warm weather and soaking up all we can. We all have enjoyed going fishing so far this spring and hope to do more of it.
